Booting Booting in safe mode is very simple (though it cannot be done in Windows 3.1 or NT) When your computer is booting, press the F8 key. In some version, a menu may appear asking what you want to do, others may simply boot into safe mode automatically. Safe mode is very useful when performing anti-virus scans. Note: When in safe mode, basic drivers are loaded, and many options are disabled (including internet connections) Your desktop may appear differently as a lower resolution is used. |
